Product Updates: v3.11.0
INTERNAL UPDATES:
- User Role Groups can now be downloaded as a CSV from the model’s listing page in Django Admin.
- Disabled the use of Dim Date joins in the data queries, when the joins were not required in the non time series data.
MAJOR FEATURES UPDATES:
Parameters for Custom Data Sources: You can now define and manage parameters for custom data sources, enabling more dynamic aggregations in dashboards. These parameters can be seamlessly integrated into Custom Fields’ conditional definitions for enhanced flexibility. This feature is available in the Parameters section within DSMS.
MINOR FEATURES UPDATES:
- While selecting a data source for a dashboard, you can now easily narrow it down by selecting a data group alias instead of manually choosing a connection, database, and schema. This also allows for a user-friendly custom name to represent the data group.
- Custom aliases can now be assigned to “Not Available” metric values, making them more intuitive and user-friendly.
- When selecting “This Year,” “This Month,” etc., from the time period filter on a dashboard, the full time range for the selected period is now applied instead of defaulting till the current day.
- Out-of-the-box template previews have been upgraded with a sleek new UI, offering a more consistent look and feel with dashboards.
STABILITY FIXES:
- Sub-groups within a widget group are now deleted permanently and do not reappear as expected.
- Data labels now display correctly in trend charts, even when viewing variance values alongside comparison period values.
- Field names in downloaded Excel files for transpose tables now match the configured labels for consistency.
- Relevant values of contextual filters now persist across interactions and when returning to the same dashboard.
- Rearranged widgets retain their position even when switching between tabs.
